CostaFruit S.A. operates in the strawberry sector and runs a modern, high-quality handling and export center, contributing significantly to the development of both the local region and the country by promoting Greek products to the most demanding international markets.
Within the framework of our collaboration, comprehensive studies and the overall facility design were carried out, based on product flow diagrams, maximum energy efficiency, optimized production processes, and future expansion planning.
More specifically, Isofruit Project was responsible for the design and study of the cold storage chambers, as well as the design of auxiliary areas (loading and unloading zones, storage areas, and order handling areas), ensuring proper cold chain continuity in accordance with ISO 22000 standards. The project also included product layout studies and the allocation of the total product volume within the facility.
Furthermore, our collaboration with CostaFruit included a comprehensive application study and the design of a Dynamic Pre-Cooling system, specifically adapted for Flowpack products. The system provides optimal and uniform cooling throughout the entire product volume and at the core of the pallet. Carefully engineered airflow patterns and high-precision sensors ensure consistent quality, extended shelf life, and reduced product losses.
In addition, we provided personnel training aimed at the correct implementation of procedures and the optimization of system operation in real conditions. As a result, CostaFruit acquired an advanced and energy-efficient pre-cooling system, specifically tailored to the requirements of Flowpack-packaged strawberries, enhancing product quality preservation and extending shelf life.
For Tsolas Fruits, we undertook the study and design of the 7,000 m² facility for the new state-of-the-art kiwifruit handling and management center, as well as the study of the post-harvest management of the products and the training of the company’s personnel.
More specifically, we were responsible for the design of 12 cold storage chambers, the temperature-controlled areas, and the loading and unloading zones, based on the product flow diagram, ensuring an uninterrupted production process with no loss of time or product. Special emphasis was placed on the design of auxiliary areas such as production, sorting, storage, and order management areas, in order to support the continuity of the cold chain in accordance with ISO 22000 international standards.
In addition, as part of the cold storage design, a comprehensive study for the post-harvest management of kiwifruit was carried out. This included the application study of the Dynamic Pre-Cooling (Cold Treatment) system, which ensures uniform cooling throughout the entire product volume and at the core of the pallet, making it ideal for long-distance transport and remote markets. The study also included the application of the Dynamic Cooling system for the long-term storage of kiwifruit.
The installation was accompanied by comprehensive personnel training at both theoretical and practical levels. Staff were trained in proper system operation, product placement and organization within the chambers, as well as in the implementation of pre-cooling, cooling, and condition-monitoring procedures.
Kyriazis Fruit Company is a Greek exporter based in Lappa, Achaia, known primarily for high-quality strawberries. In recent years, the company has expanded into additional agricultural products and related services, maintaining a strong presence in international markets with consistent, reliable quality.
As part of our collaboration, we carried out detailed layout studies for the proper organization of receiving, handling, and storage areas, ensuring smooth workflow and maximum operational efficiency.
We also undertook the full design of the facility’s refrigeration system, along with the study and specialized engineering of a Dynamic Pre-Cooling system tailored specifically for Flowpack-packaged products.
This type of packaging requires tightly controlled airflow and temperature conditions to achieve fast, uniform cooling without moisture-related defects.
In parallel, we designed functional layouts that support efficient batch management, minimize time losses, and maintain cold-chain integrity at every stage.
The project concluded with staff training to ensure proper implementation and optimal system performance in daily operation. As a result, Kyriazis Fruit Company now benefits from an advanced, energy-efficient pre-cooling setup customized to the needs of Flowpack products - enhancing consistency, quality, and shelf life.
For Alibinisis - an established company in the dough-products sector - we carried out the full study and engineering design of the refrigeration system for their new, state-of-the-art Logistics Center.
The study included the design of modern deep-freeze chambers specifically configured for the storage and handling of dough-based products, where temperature stability and humidity control are critical for ensuring quality.
We placed strong emphasis on energy efficiency and the precision of automation, enabling each cooling stage to operate at maximum performance with minimal consumption.
Support areas, such as receiving, storage and loading zones, were designed to maintain the continuity of the cold chain and ensure smooth product flow.
The collaboration concluded with staff training on the correct operation and maintenance of the systems, securing consistent product quality and long-term reliability of the installation.
This project marks another step toward the future of industrial refrigeration—where advanced technology and environmental responsibility work together to deliver efficiency and sustainability.
Stamelakos Transport, headquartered in Schimatari with a branch in Thessaloniki, has been active in the transport sector since 1995, providing high-quality services across domestic and international logistics. With a privately owned fleet and strong operational structure, the company holds a leading position in the field, combining reliability, consistency, and technological advancement.
Within our collaboration, we undertook the study and full design of the freezing, cooling, and climate-controlled chambers for the company’s new facility.
The design focused on optimal energy performance, flexible load management, and maintaining cold-chain continuity even under high-demand conditions.
The project concluded with training for both technical and operational staff, ensuring correct operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the equipment.
Through this upgrade, Stamelakos Transport now operates a modern, efficient, and fully controlled refrigeration system that strengthens its position as a leader in refrigerated logistics.
The ELIOS Agricultural Cooperative, based in Gramvousa, Laconia, was founded in 2007 and is now a recognized Producer Organization. Comprising 25 growers who follow modern, sustainable practices, the cooperative has successfully brought products such as pomegranate, nectarine, peach, orange, and mandarin to prominence in the Greek market.
As part of our collaboration, we carried out the study and engineering design for a Dynamic Cooling system tailored to the cooperative’s production and storage needs.
The aim was to extend shelf life and enhance commercial value through precise control of temperature, humidity, and airflow in the cooling chambers.
The cooperation concluded with staff training on the correct operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the system, ensuring stable quality, reduced losses, and energy-efficient performance at every stage of the cooling process.
